Buildings in Tokyo are higher above and deeper below the ground, and are
used as multi-occupancy facilities more often than in the past. Fires in these
buildings are much more difficult to fight today.
Recognizing the necessity
for quick, proper emergency responses, the Tokyo Fire Department educates its
firefighting personnel by providing them with expertise and the opportunity to
enhance physical strength. The Tokyo Fire Department gives training to
personnel,and keeps on the alert for fire day and
